Tomek presents his 1967 Chrysler Newport
I brought the car from Canada in 2000.
The 1967 year is important to Chrysler lovers because it was the last year of full chrome interior (from steering wheel to gauges). The 1968 Newport is almost identical but there isn't a lot of chrome pieces in. The 1969 year - hardly anything!
I like the original condition but I plan to convert the carburetor (to Carter Thermoquad of 1972 Dodge Dart V8 340 cid engine) . The intake installation might be from 1972 Chrysler V8 400 engine.
I know I have to change the tires in the future. The tires are 20 years old (bias Ply) ans start to crack. The Bias Ply tires are cool. The new tires are expensive and are hardly to find (the size 225/75R14).

Samochód przywiozłem z Kanady w 2000 roku.
Rocznik 1967 jest ważny dla miłośników i znawców Chryslerów, gdyż jest to ostatni rok pełnego chromu wewnątrz samochodu (od kierownicy do zegarów). Mimo że Newport z 1968 był prawie identyczny, jednak miał mniej chromu wewnątrz. A w 1969 roku to prawie nic!
Lubię stan oryginalny, ale kusi mnie od paru lat zmiana do 4-gardzielowego gaźnika. Będzie to Carter Thermoquad od 340 CID Dodga Darta z roku 1972, a instalacja "intake" będzie od silnika 400 CID Chryslera, który też jest z 1972 roku.
Zmiana opon niedługo będzie konieczna. Mam 20-letnie opony (Bias Ply) i zaczynają pąkać z powodu starości. Opony Bias Ply są piękne, ale nowe są drogie i będzie dość trudno znaleźć opony radialne w tym rozmiarze (225/75R14).
