Amos Northup (1889 - 1937) was an American automotive designer.
   He worked as a designer for automaker Wills Sainte Claire. Then he joined Murray Corporation of America. Murray did a lot body design work for their client companies that didn't have internal design departments. Northup designed the 1931 REO Royale Eight. He designed the 1929 Whippet lines and 1929 Willys-Knights and the 1932 Graham Bluestreak which was viewed as a revolution in automotive design with more enclosed fenders and a backward sloping grill. These features were widely copied.

   Pracował jako projektant dla producenta samochodów Wills Sainte Claire. Później przeszedł do firmy Murray Corporation of America. Firma Murray miała dużo zleceń od firm, które nie posiadały własnych działów dizajnerskich. Northup zaprojektował REO Royale Eight 1931 oraz linię modeli Whippet i Willys Knight na rok 1929. Zaprojektował także Grahama Blue Streak, który zrewolucjonizował ówczesny design samochodowy. Bardziej zakryte błotniki, cofnięty grill chłodnicy  - te rozwiązania stylistyczne były szeroko kopiowane.
