1964 Mercury Super Marauder

MICHIGAN, USA

Car Story

Dwa boczne przednie wloty powietrza faktycznie chłodziły hamulce. Napędzała go fabryczna widlasta ósemka 427.

The car was created by famous customizer George Barris for Mercury. The wheelbase was five inches shorter the full-sze Mercury. The car was designed for two passengers.

There was no top, the windscreen and side windows were designed to eliminate the need for goggles at high speeds. Two futuristic headrests were rear turn signals, too.

Two front fender intakes feed air to the brakes. Exhaust exits through outlets located in stainless steel mouldings, just ahead of the rear wheels. The steering wheel looked like a joystick. The car was powered by a stock V8 engine (427). The ride was painted in dark golden (Golden Cinnabar).
